Connecting to LoBoS
If you have a LoBoS account, you can access the system by logging on to any available Linux workstation in the 3053 suite of building 12A on the NIH main campus.
If you need to access LOBOSNET remotely, within NIH you can connect via ssh to romulus.lobos.nih.gov, or remus.lobos.nih.gov. You will need to contact the LoBoS admins (see below) to enable your account on these machines. In addition, to access them, you must already be on the NIH network (either logged in to an NIHnet machine or using VPN).
Remote access from non-NIH networks is available via RSA SecurID tokens.
Once logged in locally or remotely, you can access other LoBoS hosts via ssh.
How to get help
For assistance, please contact
Please provide details such as the machines and software being used, and the exact text of any error messages.
Please use the email above to request help, as it helps document the need for changes that are made, a requirement for federal government computer systems.
